The Stadium, Highbury Square

The site of the current development at The Stadium, Highbury Square was home ground to
Arsenal Football Club. Arsenal F.C. were originally founded as Dial Square by workers at the
Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, south-east London, in 1886, but in 1913 they moved north across
the city and occupied the ground, known as Highbury, for almost 100 years until their final
game there in May 2006.

VMC, working in partnership with McMullen Architectural Systems Ltd, is contributing to a
transformation of the old stadium which will eventually become a prestigious development of
apartments and penthouses incorporating many the art-deco features of the former stadium.
